Marists – students, teachers and members of the wider
community - have become a greater part of the life of colleagues,
sisters and brothers in our schools and projects in the
Pacific and Asia over the last few years. Our awareness
of their life situation and their aspirations has become
very strong.
Whether it
has been through sharing our good fortune, immersion journeys,
volunteer participation or providing hospitality our connection
is solid.
The Marist
Solidarity Campaign is the foundation upon which this solidarity
is built and your personal effort is its backbone. It is
our peaceful way of responding in a world which is so often
beset by conflict and strife.
Our work
is in the way of Mary of the Visitation who "set off
into the hill country" (Luke 1:39-56)
